Nicky Graver

nincolle-graver

While you might see my name as Nincolle in my official documents, my friends (including my band family) call me Nicky.  My son Troy is currently an upcoming Senior and has been playing the trombone since 5th grade.  We’re heading into his fourth year of the marching band.  He’s a member of the Low Rider group and will be a section leader next year.  Troy is also a member of Jazz 1, Jazz 2 and Symphonic Winds as well as participating in the Indoor Percussion unit over the winter.

My husband and I have volunteered our time helping with props, pit crew and the fleet.  You can usually find us either in one of the band trucks, pushing pit equipment around or in a concession stand.

On a more personal level, I have two other children:  Jarrod who will be in 9th grade and Ava who will be a 5th grader at Green Ridge.  Jarrod plays competitive soccer for Eagle FC and was on the middle school soccer team.  Ava is a dancer at Wevodau Dance Studio and does gymnastics at Rich Valley Gymnastics.

1st Vice President

Bob Tomaine

My son, Justin, and I are in the fourth year of our marching band journey. Justin is one of the low brass section leaders. His instruments include tuba (in marching band and Symphonic Winds) and rack percussion (during the indoor season). I am an attorney for the Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators during work hours. My wife, Nicole, and I are at every CV football home game moving band equipment or working in concessions on behalf of the band boosters. I look forward to serving as Vice President 1 for the 2025-26 season.

I’ll be in the Vice President 2 role for the upcoming year. My oldest daughter, Kara, is currently a sophomore and is a part of the color guard. She has been a part of the color guard for the past 5 years. I also have another daughter in 7th grade who has a love for soccer and a son in 3rd grade who I believe is starting a love for music. We shall see next year when he tries out the violin. :) My hubby, Bill, is my partner in crime helping me to keep our zoo running. I have volunteered in multiple areas of the program but have spent a majority of the time chaperoning. I’m looking forward to the upcoming seasons and all the fun we can have!

Recording Secretary

Courtney Orr

I am continuing to serve as the Recording Secretary for the 2025-2026 year. Our oldest son, Conor, plays trumpet; he will be an 11th grader and starting his third year in CVMB for the 2025-2026 season. He is also a member of Jazz 1 and Symphonic Winds. Marching band has given him the opportunity to meet a wonderful group of kids, play great music, and continue to grow as a musician. Our son, Lucas, is excited to also join CVMB this coming year as a 9th grade saxophone player! He performed in the jazz band at MV for the past two years, and will be continuing with concert band and chorus at CV9. We also have a soon to be 3rd grader, Abigail, who plays piano and dances her way through life.

Previously, I worked at Penn State University as an academic adviser. I am currently a substitute teacher at CV and volunteer through various school programs and at the Highmark Caring place. I will also be serving as Concessions Lead again this year, with my husband Jerry’s help. We are looking forward to another wonderful season!

I’m excited to serve on the Board of Directors this year. My daughter, Mackenzie Smith, will be a senior and is a member of the color guard. When Mackenzie tried out for indoor guard (for the first time) this past winter as a junior, I was thrilled! I’m proud of how much she has learned and accomplished. I’m enjoying my new role as a “band mom” and volunteering to support the band and guard. In addition, I am a professor at Widener University Commonwealth Law School. I also volunteer with the mental-health ministry at my church. My husband, Bryan, and I enjoy traveling and spending time with our families.  While Mackenzie and I are new to the band/guard, I’m happy to help anyone that has a question.  Please email me and I will get an answer for you.
