BOARD OF DIRECTORS
President
Steve Wilmert

My wife, Mary, and I have been married for 24 years and have four children: Gabe, Sam, Claire, and Emma. I serve as the campus pastor at CEFC The Pike, a church that meets weekly at the Silver Spring Fire Hall. Our family has been part of the CV community for the past 14 years, and during that time we have been continually grateful for the friendships, support, and sense of belonging that make this community so special.
Mary and I have enjoyed volunteering with the band in a variety of ways including helping with props, pit crew, concessions, and the fleet. Through the CV Band program,we have seen firsthand how the arts bring people together and create lasting relationships for both students and families. As I serve as president this coming year, I look forward to supporting the incredible students, directors, volunteers, and families who make this program such a meaningful and encouraging community to be part of.

My daughter, Evie, is a rising Junior and has been in the front ensemble for the past two years, playing the xylophone and marimba. This year she will be a section leader for front ensemble. She is also involved in Soaring Voices, Symphonic Winds (French Horn), and the school musicals.
For my day job, I am a Registered Nurse and Nursing Professional Development Specialist at the Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center. I love to travel, hang out with family, play games and read.
I am excited for the upcoming year! I have personally experienced how marching band gives a community, sense of belonging and encourages maturity and growth for the students. I’m looking forward to another season hanging out with these amazing kids and their families!

Over the past two years that my son, Owen has been part of the band, I have enjoyed supporting the band program, especially through helping with concessions, and I have loved learning more about the world of marching band along the way. I look forward to continuing to support our students and directors while getting to know both new and returning band families throughout the season.
